
Michael Waymark is an Australian executive and engineer with extensive experience in asset management, operational technology, and infrastructure services.
Michael began his career in engineering, contributing to major infrastructure projects in Western Australia during the late 1980s and 1990s, spanning sectors such as water, aviation, power, and defence. In the late 1990s, he relocated to Melbourne while working for ABB, a multinational Swiss-Swedish consortium, and later joined Siemens, where he led the Power Transmission and Distribution business for Australia and New Zealand.
Throughout his career, Michael has held a number of senior leadership positions. He served as Chief Executive at Programmed Facility Management from 2011 to 2016, overseeing asset management and facilities maintenance services. Prior to that, he was Chief Executive of the Field Solutions Group at UXC Ltd from 2007 to 2010, managing businesses across the power distribution and retail sectors.
Michael is recognized for his expertise in deploying Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to optimize asset performance and reduce maintenance costs. He has led significant projects, including the implementation of Australia’s largest IoT rollout for asset management, demonstrating a 15% reduction in maintenance costs through condition-based approaches.
His qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and an MBA. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
